Domes Aulūs Elounda is another jewel of architecture and a gem in the hotel industry. Located on the Minoan town of ancient Olous (aka Aulūs) this luxury five-star all inclusive hotel required a fresh, elegant, minimal, contemporary logo and brand identity. The oval shaped symbol is inspired from the mosaic geometric shapes found in archaeological excavations in the area. It is also the initial letter "O" of the ancient name of the town Olous. Inside the oval shape there is a handcrafted E as seen in coin depictions for the later and recent name Elounda. The round and wavy cornered E is also shaped like a sandhill or sea waves incorporating the proximity of the sea and water element.
